| The email sent by Safis Web to the Ambassador of Afghanistan in Poland |
| Respected Ambassador to Poland This email concerns the layout and the nature of the content on Afghan Embassy's website in Poland. The use of certain photos and language on your website are deeply descriminating and against the constitution of Afghanistan. As an Afghan Embassy's website you represent the entire Afghan nation and its ethnic composition. But the choice of graphics in the form of the main pic on the entry page and non-existense of Pashto on your website is everything BUT representation of Afghanistan and Afghans on the whole. I assume with certainity that it is with your consent that the website has a certain political message implying disapproval of Pashto and Pashtuns as Afghans. The application forms for Visa and Passport are in English, Polish and Dari but NOT Pashto. May I ask why? As the holder of such a high position in Afghan government I assume you are aware of the fact that Pashto is the language of the majority in Afghanistan and you must respect that. Mr Ambassador, I must inform you that we at Zmong-Afghanistan.COM look at this incident very seriously and we demand that you take all the necessary steps to make things right on the website. We also plan to publish this email alongwith your website's graphic, we really think it is important to bring such knowledge to those thousands of visitors that visit our site regularly. Sincerely Akmal Sapay Zmong-Afghanistan.COM P.S. If you find English hard to understand I can write you a letter in Pashto too but I assume you don't understand Pashto either. In such case, it is a shame. |
