The Prophets Of God

"When Abraham said, ‘My Lord is He who gives life and causes to die,” he said, ‘I too have power to give life and cause death.’ Abraham said: ‘Surely God causes the sun to rise from the East. Make it rise yourself from the West.’ Thus was the unbeliever confounded. God does not guide aright the unjust.” (2:258)

Our Mind

Pursuant to human mind professors our mind is divided into two parts; the conscious and the subconscious. Our conscious is the part of our mind that is the main center for our daily thoughts and imaginations that we experience in a mentally normal condition. Contrary to this, our subconscious is the part of our mind that conserves the imagination and the thoughts transmitted from our conscious. We can, therefore say, that the subconscious is a sort of storeroom for the thoughts and the imaginations that we once had in our conscious.

We can't recall such thoughts in a mentally normal condition but they do show up when we find ourselves in a mentally abnormal state, for example, in a hysterical state or while one is asleep.

Now according to the modern studies (Freud, picture to the right) it is claimed that it was, actually, the output of our subconscious that produced prophets and the notion of the Hell and the Heaven. They argue that human being got some strange desires, which were impossible to satisfy because of the social prohibitions and limitations. For example, some people got sexual lust for their sister or mother, or they wanted to murder or harm some one, or commit some other kind of crimes. But they couldn’t satisfy those desires because of the fear that they would be punished in the society they were living in.

Those desires remained unsatisfied in their subconscious and when they talked in a hysteria people thought that they interacted with god and entitled them as prophets. This argument about the nature of the prophets is based on a fanatic and en evasive attitude. If we for a while agree with their opinion about the prophets, which is of course a pure taint, then the prophets must have been people talking about having sex with your sister or daughter, or ways of killing or harming other because, pursuant to human mind studies, one would talk in a hysteria about the same thing one has in one’s subconscious. But we don’t find any prophet who might have spread such dirty and strange thoughts among people.

According to this notion, the prophets must have been the prophets of atrocities not the prophets of welfare, they must have been a faction of people who provoked their disciples to violence, they would be abnormal and unlikely persons in the society. But we know that all the prophets were the best people in their contemporary gatherings. They never lied, they never fought, and they never avenged. They were always patient, they were unbelievably kind, honest, gentle, and soft - hearted human beings. They did not spread any sexual lusts but the message of god and truthfulness.

As I mentioned before, the modern study of our mind shows us that our subconscious is a kind of storeroom, which conserves the ideas, and the thoughts transmitted from our conscious. Everything reaches our subconscious through our conscious. But isn't this incredible that the prophets predicted many things that they had never imagined before.

According to the modern study of our mind, nothing can ever make its way to our subconscious unless we first experience it in our conscious. But we know that the prophets predicted the things that no one in the contemporary world knew about. The prediction and the teachings of the prophets covered every branch of today's science whether it is astronomy, physics, ethics, biology, history, politics or society. They talked about the things that they never ever had in their conscious but yet they spoke out the immortal facts from the past, the present and the future. How could it be possible for them to announce such Universal facts in a hysteria when they did not have this knowledge either in their conscious or subconscious.
