Converting Your VCD to real media
file
************************************************
Step 3 -
Converting to .rm (real
media file)
Now your AVI file is ready to be converted to .rm file. So go ahead and start
RealProducer Basic which you downloaded from
RealProducer site. See the image below:

Now click on Browse and find the AVI file that you just created using
Virtualdub.
There are things to be noted while converting a video or audio file to .rm
format. For example, the bitrate, video size etc. The higher the bitrate the
better the video quality but the bigger the size. Besides, If you intend to
stream your file on the internet you must consider that most of the internet
users are still using 56k modem so if you choose a higher bitrate they will have
problems watching your video. My suggestion would be to choose 56k Dailup
by clicking on "Audiences" and choosing 56k Dialup in the left
window under Audience Settings (Templates). See the image below:

Leave other setting as they are and close the window. Back in the main window
you can choose to enter file information for example Title, Author, Copy Right
etc by clicking on Clip Information.
Now the last thing to do is to click on the button Encode to start
encoding. Again, depending on your processor it will take a while for the
encoding to finish. After some minutes when the encoding is finished you have
your .rm file which you can stream on the internet.
Enjoy!
