Baghlan Bombing - Evil in every sense of the word

November 10, 2007

Baghlan, Tuesday 6th of November, 59 schoolchildren lined up to greet a group of lawmakers visiting a sugar factory in the northern province of Afghanistan. A huge blast is heard – a suicide bomber has just detonated explosives.

The blast came to be the deadliest since the ousting of Taliban in 2001. The fact that it killed dozens of innocent school children
Is this Islam? Do they call this Jihad? No it is not Islam, it is evil in every sense of the word!

aging between 8 and 18 makes this atrocity deeply tragic. Innocent, poor, miserable and oppressed Afghan children massacred within moments. No group has claimed the responsibility yet (9th Nov 2007) but the blast carried every hallmark of a typical Taliban suicide attack.

Is this Islam? Do they call this jihad?
No it is not Islam, it is not jihad, it is evil in every sense of the word!

The questions are many. How long will it go on? What is the solution? Who are really these people and how many? Why are they doing this?

I am not sure where to find answers but I am sure of one thing. The extreme interpretation of Islam has caused Pashtuns the biggest harm possible. I have in my articles insisted upon the fact that Pashtuns are more or less driven by two forces: Money and the Paradise. Mostly the Paradise.

The reason why these two driving forces steer Pashtuns is where the role of mulla begins. Pashtuns have throughout the history been strongly influenced by religious figures. Thier thoughts, thier actions and decisions have always been characterized by religion.

Most of the Pashtuns living in Afghanistan, Pukhtunistan, Waziristan and Quetta fighting the meaningsless war are driven by religious

Pashtuns have become what I would call "religious robots" who can't think independently

arguments. They are told that it is jihad and the sunna of the prophet (pbuh) to kill and drive out the infidels from Afghanistan no matter what. Pashtuns have become what I would call "religious robots", who can't think independently and who are steered by false incentives.

Islam is the religion of peace and brotherhood. Islam is the religion which teaches that Dawa (preaching) is the way to success not killing poor and innocent children and their teachers. Islam is the religion which will bring us success and lead us to redemption. But the way Islam has been portraited, the way its teachings about jihad in the sense of killing have been glorified by the religious figures, mostly mullas, has pushed Pashtuns into a meaningsless struggle against the biggest powers of our time. They are killed, slaughtered, thier wives and daughters becoming beggers and thier sons ending up in prison cells.

Is this Afghan pride? Is this Islamic activism? No it is not!

These suicide bombers are mostly young, poor and brain-washed Pashtuns who are trained, financed and sent to death by the leaders of the Taliban. Leaders who have sold their faith and belief to the foreign powers for a handful of money. History will remember them as a bunch of barbarians and a group of traitors.

Your actions can not be justified and you will face the fierce punishment when you one day meet your Creator.

May Almighty God give strength and patience to the relatives and familes of the victims. May God make this tragedy a means for strengthening our faith in Him and may God  have mercy upon the children and adults killed in the atrocity.

Finally, may God bring peace to our country.

Comments:  I har you bro! This indeed has been the worst tragic incident in the history of Afghanistan. These kinds of blasts and US/NAto raids happen often over there, and I hope the media gives as much attention to them too. So many people have died, and no one has claimed responsibility. Even the Taliban condemned this act. SO the lingerin question is: who did it? There are many rumors out there now, scapegoating local warlords, US agents, Mossad agents, and even the gov't. Some say US planted it in order to turn sentiments against the Taliban, some say the warlords did it for vengence. Who knows, but whoever did it are terrible bastards, who must be brought to justice, Afghan-style justice. My prayers are with those suffering out there.
